Sternau & Co. was a New York-based manufacturer, active from around 1887 to the 1920s, that produced metalware such as chafing dishes, coffee percolators, and spirit kettles. They are best known as the originators of the brand name "Sterno" for their alcohol burners, which were also marketed as the "Sterno-Inferno". The company's products, often made of copper and brass, are now considered collectible antiques
