This artwork titled "Forest Bright, Humbolt" is an oil painting on masonite board by noted American artist Juan Archuleta, b.1948. It is signed at the lower left corner by the artist. The artwork (masonite board) size is 20 x 16 inches, framed size is 26.75 x 21.65 inches. Framed in original wooden dark brown and silver frame, with fabric liner. It is in excellent condition.
About the artist:
College: California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, Ca.
Archuleta's professional career in art began with portraiture in 1972. With this means he supported a wife and two children at that time. Since 1976, Archuleta has devoted his work to rendering landscapes, particularly forest scenes.
His style ranges from contemporary to traditional impressionism. Some paintings are thin wash like, others are impasto.
Juan Archuleta's work has been advertised in Architectural Digest, and Southwest Art Magazine. He was commissioned by the Yosemite Fund Foundation in 1988. The work of Juan Archuleta is held in many public and private collections, including:
