Modern and bright urban abstract by Carl E. Schwartz (American, 1935-2014). Circa 1970s. Signed "Schwartz" lower right. Presented in a silver metal frame. Image size: 12"H x 18"L.
Schwartz, born in Detroit, Michigan, was a painter and printmaker who lived in Fort Meyers, Florida. He was a realist whose work shows the influence of both Abstract Expressionism and Cubism. His art is in the Smithsonian Institution and many university collections including Michigan State, Loyola, Nevada, Minnesota, and Chicago.
