The lantern is made by Hockley Lamp and Limelight Company and used by Welsh coal miners. On the bottom it is stamped- Wick setting to be between level with wick holder and primed no higher then 2 M/M warning paraffin to be used only. It is a heavy lantern for the size and made of brass.
