Pair of very fine quality and condition Japanese porcelain satsuma lamps, c.1930’s
Made from ginger jars that have been exquisitely hand painted and glided, and later converted into lamps. Each with a pair of exotic pheasants perched in a garden of colorful flowing flowers and leaves. Decorated on all sides and including the lids. The vase on the left has more orange tones whereas the right vase has more purple tones. Both are mounted on hardwood stands and have recently been fully re-wired and in working order. Very good overall condition with minor age and use wear. Vase height is 10.25”.
