Nine inch diameter, tapered serving bowl by Rosenthal Germany designed by Raymond Loewy. The bowl tapers from the 9" diameter top to the 3.37" diameter flat bottom. There are stylized flowers as a decoration in blue, yellow and white. The piece is in excellent condition and "rings" like a bell.
Loewy was one of America's most prolific industrial designers. He designed airplanes, railroad engines and cars, Packaging, radios, dinnerware, flatware, furniture, cars (notably the STUDEBAKER AVANTI, look it up it is wicked cool).
