Originally, the textile was a roundel design likely from the center front of a noble woman's robe and it is dated to Qing dynasty, circa 19th century. With colored silk threads and different stitch techniques such as satin and Peking knots, it showcases two fairy ladies in flowing robes surrounded by peonies, a motif very popular in Qing dynasty in woman's clothing. Displayed in a silver wood frame with a matching double linen matt. Label remains on the back as shown. See less
