Carved in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, this pair of mythical guardian animals attracts our attention with their striking features and polychrome finish. Made of old primitive wood, each animal showcases a fierce roaring face, teeth and tongues visible and perfectly highlighted by a yellow, green and red polychromy. These removable heads are resting on bodies with matching colors. Made to guard the entrance of a temple and said to reside in the Himavanta Forest at the base of the mythical Mount Meru, this pair of Thai mythical guardian animals will make for a great conversation piece in any home!
