Created in China during the Tang Dynasty, this terracotta warrior draws our attention with its ornate clothes and traces of original pigments. Stern and focused, the warrior is wearing a long headdress falling on his shoulders while his chest plate is adorned with beaded medallions. Boasting a nicely weathered patina with mineral deposits, the lower section shows traces of an orange pigmentation. With its skillful depiction and great age, this Tang Dynasty terracotta warrior circa 600-800 AD will make for a great decorative addition to any home, whether displayed in a bookcase, vitrine, on the top of a chest or side table.
