Comprised of horseshoe nails, brass, and brass braising. Gorgeous vintage condition with normal wear for age. The finish on the birds has dulled a bit and some of the nails have rusted over time. It has a nice warm patina. Please see photos. Circa Mid-Late 20th Century.

The details and creative mastery within this piece are breathtaking…you can almost feel the flow of the birds as their wing’s downstroke across the starburst, destination unknown. Although we have seen this attributed to Curtis Jere in the past, we don’t think so. We are more inclined to attribute this style to Silas Seandel, William Bowie, or Mario Jason. Either way, it’s Brutalist style demands attention and would be magnificent in your industrial loft or modern, contemporary, or mid-century modern home.
