A kantharos or cantharus is a type of ancient Greek cup used for drinking. Although almost all surviving examples are in Greek pottery, the shape, like many Greek vessel types, probably originates in metalwork. With tall handles, this piece will be fantastic as a centerpiece filled with flowers, or on a coffee table to hold miscellaneous items.

This piece is very similar to one found in the 3rd or 4th Latial Period, at the cemetery at Osteria dell'Osa", and the original of which is located in the MET in New York.
