An elegant and exquisitely crafted letter opener from the Art Nouveau period, made in Germany. It is reminiscent of works from the Mathildenhöhe in Darmstadt. The handle features a standing woman with a dove.
The molding is detailed and expressive. The bronze casting is finely executed. Parts have been darkly patinated to emphasize details.
