The artwork (hardboard) size is 12 x 16 inches, framed size is 18.5 x 22.5 inches. Framed in a wooden gold frame, with fabric liner and gold color spacer. The artwork and frame are in excellent condition, the fabric liner have some small area of discoloration, it can be seen on picture #1

About the artist:

Born in 1952 in Munich, Germany, Frank Kecskes, Jr. immigrated to Southern California with his family when he was only three months old. As a young child, he sketched and painted, encouraged and directed by his father, the late Frank Kecskes, Sr., a direct descendant of the renowned Hungarian painter Sandor Bihari. The father, himself a dedicated artist, taught his son the rudiments of fine art. He occasionally instructed young Kecskes in one-on-one tutoring sessions, but most often it was through observation that the budding artist learned the basic skills of painting from his father.

As Kecskes has declared in reference to him, "I simply absorbed subconsciously what my father did".

After completing his secondary school education, Kecskes went on to study physics at the California State University at Long Beach. It was, however, only after he left his university studies that he began to more seriously consider his artwork. The work of Frank Kecskes is held in numerous collections in California and countrywide. See less
