Alois Mosbacher's work ranges from figurative and abstract painting to installations. He is one of the key representatives of New Painting of the 1980s.

Since the early 1980s, Alois Mosbacher has appeared every four or five years with a series of pictures that actively intervene in the international painting discussion. This is how a highly relevant work was created over the years.

Mosbacher showed his works, among others. in exhibitions at the Krinzinger Gallery , the Aargauer Kunsthaus , the Neue Galerie Graz and the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig , as well as with Erwin Wurm at the Kunstverein Bremen .
