Do you know anyone from Florida that needs a new piece for their home or office? This piece would definitely fit the bill! A playful abstract of Conchy the Flamingo, a brazen bird who breached the Naval Air Station at Key West and found a way into the heart of the locals so Conchy was spared. In case you don’t know any pilots, they aren’t big fans of birds as birds are dangerous to planes when in flight.
The texture, tones, and loose, chunky paint, variations of barely pink, creamy whites, turquoise, and some of my favorite Cadmium Red (Light Hue), combined with a spectrum of underpainted colors in nearly every shade. This is a great piece for a fun home or a light piece to bring some color and whimsey to a home or office that needs more fun and less stuffy. I had quite a bit of fun painting this bright and airy piece.
