This piece … Read more An elegant vintage Cartier ice bucket, presented in its original fitted box, complete with sterling silver-gilt ice tongs. This piece was retailed as part of Cartier’s luxury homeware and barware collection during the 1970s–1980s. The bucket is crafted from thick crystal in the form of a cube with softly curved edges, finished with an ormolu swing handle. The base is signed “Cartier.” Accompanying the bucket are the original silver-gilt ice tongs, housed in a branded flannel pouch, all contained within the red Cartier presentation case. This design was part of Cartier’s range available through their New York and Paris boutiques at the time, and such examples are increasingly sought after by collectors of modernist decorative objects. Condition: The bucket is in really excellent condition, as are the tongs, with no chips or damage, please see photos for confirmation.
