Model designed in 1957, … Read more Set of 4 original production Josef Frank dining chairs model 2238 made in the late 1950s. Model designed in 1957, frame in cherry, lyre-shaped back tray in rattan and bamboo, seats upholstered in original beige leather with pearl nailing. Amazing patina in this authentic Josef Frank design. The rattan in the back rest is the finishing touch in Josef Frank’s chair 2238\. Like a jewel, the rattan lyre adorns the light 2238 cherry chair. Possibly the last piece of furniture that Josef Frank designed, the frame with its four side rails and two cross rails provides the chair with stability and leads the eye up to the generous lyre back hand crafted of double rattan tubes. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
