Early production modular shelving designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Vitra in 2007. Constructed from matte black composite framing and translucent acrylic panels in vivid red, orange, blue, green, and amber. When placed near natural light, the panels cast a soft gradient of color across surrounding surfaces, creating a sculptural and atmospheric effect.
Inspired by Charlotte Perriand’s modular shelving concepts, this system blends industrial precision with poetic color composition. The structure can be reconfigured into two lower shelf units for flexible display options.
An emerging vintage collectible that reflects the Bouroullecs’ early exploration of modular architecture and domestic sculpture. Early production examples like this are labeled and rarely seen outside Vitra exhibitions or design showrooms.
Excellent overall condition with minor wear consistent with age. The unit will ship disassembled for safe transport.
