The needlepoint depicts five yellow flowers with brown centers, green stems and leaves, all outlined in black, and a green background. It's a bright piece of needle art that would bring a touch of cheer to any room.

Needlepoint pictures are handmade, usually of wool yarn, typically by needle art hobbyists who follow a design printed on the canvas. Sometimes the canvas and yarn (and occasionally the frame for smaller items) is included in a kit, sold at needlework shops.

The needlepoint textile is in excellent condition. Note that there are a couple of stitches of a lighter color in one area of black outline (see photo #4). This could possibly be an example of a "Persian flaw," a deliberate tiny error that some needle artists incorporate in their work to acknowledge their humility, but it's impossible to know the intention of the maker for sure.

The frame is 13" square and 1.5" deep. There's a goldtone rim around it. The frame shows wear with several dings and a small scrape (top of frame). The inner edge of the matte is slightly uneven (it may not have been professional cut originally.)
