The striking design of the wood work has taken quite some talent and time to perfect. The material chosen is exquisite and so tasteful for the sturdiness of the chairs. You will not be disappointed if you choose this pair as they are quite heavy, sit like new, ie. firmly and have the most adorable pillows for the lower back. The carving is so original to the Roman period with the legs styled to slant slightly backwards like a magic trick. The carved arm rest too are so elegantly padded. I found these on a trip to LasVegas, NV in an adorable little antique store. See less
