Double sided polymer or early acrylic on board from the estate of Atlanta self taught artist Laurence Stuart Connatser (1938-1996).
Connatser was born in Birmingham, Alabama and grew up in Atlanta. He earned degree in literature from Vanderbilt in 1961 before moving to Chicago where he worked in publishing. During this time he began to paint, continuing after he moved to Savannah in 1971 and later in Atlanta. He died in Atlanta of AIDS in 1996.
Signed on yellow side, deaccessed recently from the Georgia museum his estate was bequeathed to.
