Intaglio-style original bas relief sculpted by renown American artist Charles Warner Williams of Culver, Indiana. This bas relief features Maria Povenak, - a world-renowned pueblo potter from San Ildefonso in New Mexico. It is in a creamy peach pink color, in a round raised form similar to an intaglio. It is in good condition with a hook on the back for easy hanging. Perfect object of interest for a gallery wall.
Williams' work has ranged in emphasis from children to important figures to evolution. Much of his work was commissioned by education institutions. Some of his more famous commissions include bas reliefs of John F. Kennedy, Leopold Stokowski, Thomas Edison, George Ade, John T. MeCutcheon, Pope Paul XXIII, Knute Rockne, and Stan Musial.
