This is an original advertisement for Christian Dior Diorama perfume that dates to 1966. It originally appeared in a magazine of the time. It is NOT a recent reproduction print. It features the new atomizer for the Dior fragrance, Diorama, that premiered for the celebration of Mother's Day. The image is illustrated by Rene Gruau. The creative friendship between Christian Dior and the illustrator Rene Gruau was a collaboration which celebrated a special spirit which continued for many years, even after Dior’s death in 1957. Gruau’s breathtaking use of bold color and strong graphic lines enhances the allure of Dior’s products.
