French vintage framed oil portrait on canvas of a lady (“Lydie”) surrounded by cherry trees in an orchard, painted by her adoring husband to remember the occasion. The Impressionist technique of short, ethereal brushstrokes is rendered in a mostly blue and green palette punctuated by an accumulation of ripe red fruit on each branch. Signed on the front and reverse below the short description with title “Le Temps des Cerises” (cherry season) this lovely painting is framed and ready to hang in your interior.
