A petite farmhouse-style oak table from 19th century France that appears to be a substantial console to easily double as a serving table on occasion, center table, or possibly a desk. The heavy, solid oak construction was entirely handmade using square peg joinery and bears the dark, textural grain patterns and patina developed over nearly two centuries of use. A base of four thick legs planed to chamfered corners are connected by stretchers in an H-formation that anchors the table, giving it a sense of permanence and presence in any space. Cleaned, tightened, and polished with a French paste wax, this intriguing antique table is ready to join your interior.
