The abrashed creamy-beige field showcases a stepped geometric compartment filled with a hooked lozenge medallion dotted with two tiny diamonds at either end. Ambiguous tree of life motifs grace corner spandrel and rosette flowers run along the vertical sides adding visual interest. It is enclosed with an Elibelinde motif border flanked with an inner and outer running water guard border. Though deceptively simple, this vintage Turkish rug is steeped in Anatolian history.
