Absolutely stunning antique Art Nouveau room-sized Turkish Sivas rug. Produced from luminous hand knotted wool with an incredibly soft pile. The rug features an organic design of scrolling vines and palmettes. Crafted from finely knotted wool in colors of salmon pink, apricot, and citron over a beige field in a feminine style of French modernity. The rug has desirable wear and faded patina in soft muted tones. The design is only visible from one direction and the carpet appears only beige with a rich sheen from the other direction. Viewing the rug in person is like gazing at a beautiful French painting. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
