American in Origin - Circa Early 19th Century. It is Completely Handmade out of Thick - Heavy Hand Wrought Iron. Early Blacksmith Made. I am Not Sure What its Actual Purpose was ? But Due to its Large Size it was Obviously Specifically Made to Use on Something Big - Possibly Used in a Barn Setting. Best Guess and Most Likely used in Logging - Lumbering - Farm Used. Note! That it has Old Aged Gold Paint on 1 Side and Natural Aged Surface on the Other Side so it Gives you 2 Options for Display Purposes. I Purchased This Piece on One of My Picking Adventures in the Northern New Hampshire - Southern Vermont Region. It is in Very Good Condition although Age Weathered - Rustic. It Would Display Nicely as a Very Unique Piece of Wall Decor in a Rustic - Primitive Setting - Man Cave - Game Room Etc.
It Measures 14 inches Tall. x 8 inches Long x 1/2 inch Wide.
