The frame features a richly detailed eagle crest perched atop a basket of fruit, flanked by crossed agricultural tools and floral garlands — motifs drawn from 18th-century European symbolism of prosperity and abundance.

The wood has been cerused (pickled) to soft, pale tones of beige and off white that highlight the carving’s depth and texture, while the antiqued mirror glass adds a layer of warmth and character reminiscent of centuries-old giltwood originals. The circular image on the mirror is a reflected can light and does not appear in the mirror itself. The back bears the impressed mark “CHAPMAN MADE IN SPAIN.”
