The figure is meticulously carved in soapstone and mounted on slightly recessed base, with organic tree bark like edges. The item is a substantial size brush washer measuring 10.25” x 6.50” x 6.75”. Item weighs 2.7 pounds. Brush washers with decorative figures such as these flourished during the late Qing Dynasty and early republic periods in China. See less
