This original watercolor on paper was created by the listed American artist Helen Malta. The image depicts a cityscape featuring a playground with children on swings in front of a building, perhaps a school. It is signed by the artist on the lower middle. Helen Malta (USA 1912-1975) worked in New York City in the 1930s, teaching at the Harlem Art Center and working in the New York branch of the WPA graphics division. Her work is part of the National Gallery of Art collection as well as many private collections.
