A striking 1976 wood art panel by Massachusetts artist, sculptor, and woodcarver Dyrick A. Schaefer, depicting a serene sunset scene with a small moored boat resting on calm waters. The artist skillfully used the natural wood grain to enhance the composition, blending carved and burned details with warm hand-stained tones of amber, golden yellow, and deep brown. The result is a beautifully rustic yet atmospheric coastal landscape that evokes tranquility and timeless craftsmanship. The piece is signed and dated D.A. Schaefer ‘76 on the lower right and retains the artist’s original studio label on the back, listing his Sudbury, Massachusetts address.
