This massive totem stands nearly 9 feet tall. Covered from top to bottom in bearded wise men, Native American chiefs, enchanted spirits and woodland animals. This magical monument is captivating and inspiring. This traditional style folk art is carved with the artists initial "WD" and date "95". The intricate hand carvings of faces and figures hold cultural and spiritual significance, often representing ancestors or supernatural beings. A large, single feather projects out from the headdress of one of the figures. There is no shortage of hidden wonders and details to behold.
We're not certain but the wood appears to be cedar, juniper or possibly aspen wood. The tree trunk flares at the base so the totem stands on it's own with no need for added support.
