Description
Large handmade lidded stoneware jar by Southern studio potter Jim Tripp. Soft blue glaze over a substantial thrown form, with applied white blossoms on the body and a matching blossom finial on the lid. Signed by Tripp and dated 08 on the base. This is a substantial, quiet, honest studio pottery presence that feels right in a kitchen, entry console, or bookshelf vignette.
Tripp is known for functional Southern studio work with regional glaze palettes and applied floral elements. Pieces with this scale and finish style well in collected, farmhouse, and modern rustic interiors.
