The beautiful bronze like patina of this figurine enhances the details. The African woman is carrying a basket and a winnowing utensil slung over her shoulder. Her jewelery; her bangles and earrings are enhanced by her partially clad body in a cultural dress. The piece is very heavy metal, possibly bronze finish over brass, Spelter or bronze itself, it's hard to determine. But either way, it is a delicate and striking piece.
