These came from a book of biographical work by the author published in 1696. The engravings are portraits of notable French men of the 17th century. The book, whose full title is “Des hommes illustres qui ont paru en France pendant ce siècle avec leurs portraits au naturel”provides biographical sketches of prominent figures from the era. The description of each notable is as well included. One has a bit of a stain on the bottom, but matted and framed will be unnoticeable. I am willing to sell separately and the dimensions are 11x16.
