The item is 5.2” long and 2.5” wide and weighs 457 grams.
In 2021, the Dehua kilns and other related sites in the Quanzhou region were collectively added to the UNESCO World Heritage list. During the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the material reached a peak with porcelain being produced as white as cream. the French named ‘Blanc de Chine' 300 years ago, a title that is still used today. The only remaining ancient kiln in Dehua is the Yueji Kiln, which has been burning continuously for more than 400 years. The chiseled pattern visible on the surface, known as 'jimita' or textured ground, became particularly popular during the Meiji period (1868-1912).
