A rustically elegant French Provincial farm house harvest work table with warm rich patina and refined Rococo styling. circa 1750
Hand-crafted in the mid-18th century, most likely originating in the former Provence / Nice / Alps region of the South of France, a beautiful area near the Italian border and Mediterranean sea. Hand carved of solid fruitwood, executed in period Louis XV taste (1715-1774) with sophisticated Rocaille elements.
Featuring a long narrow rectangular five plank boarded top with pleated end, attractive dark rustic patina and desirable overhang; above a simple tall apron with curvacious hand sculpted scalloped edge, rising on elegant cabriole legs.

Great original antique condition. Very strong, sturdy, and stable. Wear commensurate with age and indicative of farmhouse use, including scattered nicks, worn finish, dark spots, distressed patina, and typical authentic character marks. Delivered cleaned, hand waxed, polished, ready for immediate use and generational enjoyment!
