A splendid set of five French Longchamp majolica brown and white oyster plates with a large 13" platter. Circa 1920s-40s. The "Longchamp France" maker's mark on the back of each piece indicates this era.. The five plates feature six bright white shell shaped wells for oysters and a central raised well for sauces or lemons. The platter features nine surrounding shell shaped wells plus three in the center. All the wells are trimmed in a brownish tan color and are embedded on the well known Longchamp basket weave background. They are trimmed in a dark brown rope design and definitely have a coastal vibe. Whether using for display or serving this set is sure to delight!
