Handsome antique English salt-glazed stoneware spirits jug in classic tan-and-cream two-tone glaze, boldly impressed:
“1558 DANIEL G HALL – Brewer – Wine & Spirit Merchant – OXFORD.”
Stamped “PRICE H BRISTOL” near the handle — the mark of Price, Sons & Co., the renowned Bristol pottery that supplied spirit jugs to English breweries from the late 19th through early 20th centuries. The “H” is believed to refer to Henry Price, active during the Victorian–Edwardian period.
This mid-sized whiskey or rum jug stands 11 inches tall × 6 inches wide, with an applied handle, rolled lip, and a softly gleaming salt-glaze finish produced by high-temperature vapor glazing. Solidly thrown and beautifully balanced, it retains crisp, legible markings throughout.

Good antique condition overall. A small chip to the outer rim and minor flake at the foot, both stable and age-typical. No cracks or repairs; clean interior and sturdy handle.
An authentic example of Victorian–Edwardian English brewery ware, ideal for display in a bar, pub collection, or rustic farmhouse kitchen.
