Elegant late 19th-century French Louis XV-style giltwood bergère, newly priced to sell and well-suited for both traditional and transitional interiors.
This finely carved French armchair features a richly detailed giltwood frame with fluted legs, rosette blocks, and beaded edging, retaining a warm gold patina with traces of red bole beneath the gilding. The chair’s deep, upholstered sides and loose seat cushion provide comfort without sacrificing formality.
Upholstered in a charming pale gray-green gingham fabric delicately embroidered with small multicolor flowers, this bergère embodies both refinement and warmth — a classic Louis XVI silhouette softened by country-house charm.
An extra removable cushion is placed beneath the seat cushion for added comfort and fullness.
