Pair of striking hand-hammered wall sculptures crafted in Haiti from repurposed steel oil drums — a celebrated folk art tradition originating in Croix-des-Bouquets. Each panel depicts lush palm trees surrounded by birds and tropical foliage, beautifully rendered in dimensional repoussé relief with incredible texture and movement.
Created in the late 20th century (circa 1980s–1990s), these pieces exemplify the craftsmanship and storytelling of Haitian metal artisans who transform discarded materials into art. The finish retains a naturally aged metallic patina with light wear, adding depth and authenticity to their coastal island charm.
