This exceptionally rare original 1933 poster commemorates the victory of Tazio Nuvolari and Raymond Sommer at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving the legendary Alfa Romeo 8C-2300 MM-LM. Produced for the Belgian tire company Englebert, the design celebrates one of the most iconic endurance-racing achievements of the pre-war era.

Nuvolari, often called “Il Mantovano Volante” (the Flying Mantuan), was Italy’s most celebrated racing driver of the 1930s, and Sommer, his French co-driver, enjoyed equal renown for his courage and skill. Together they dominated the 1933 Le Mans in Alfa Romeo’s 8C-2300—a machine whose twin-supercharged straight-eight engine defined early-1930s Grand Prix performance.

Original period posters from this event are extremely scarce, printed in limited numbers for Englebert’s promotional campaign following the win. This example captures the heroic early spirit of endurance racing and remains a centerpiece for collectors of automotive history.
