Elegant Model 3114-15 sideboard buffet by American of Martinsville, circa 1950s. Crafted in richly toned walnut, this piece captures the refined quality and transitional design language that defined the brand’s mid-century era—balancing modern simplicity with subtle neoclassical detailing.
The cabinet features five paneled doors that open to reveal adjustable shelves and two central drawers, providing generous interior storage. The right-hand door requires a slightly firmer pull to open but functions smoothly once engaged. The top surface has been professionally refinished and shows a small corrected area that blends well with the overall tone (see close-up).
Resting on tapered legs with brass-capped feet, this sideboard combines warmth, craftsmanship, and practicality—ideal for use as a dining buffet, entry cabinet, or media console.
A timeless example of American of Martinsville’s craftsmanship, suitable for interiors ranging from mid-century to classic transitional styles.
