Beautiful antique Spinet Piano Desk with Lift Top, 1 large drawer, 2 “secret” compartments, 4 mail slots and a pull out desk top for extra writing space.
Perfectly smooth when closed up (there is no hinge across the middle), this desk is perfect for drawing as well as typing, writing, or used as a discreet accent table with a hidden desk inside.
Unfortunately I cannot tell for sure what KIND of wood this desk is, so I will not list a guess. It is has a gorgeous dark stain and original patina with very few scratches on the “hidden”/pull out desk surface. While I also do not know the maker of this desk or the exact age, it was my 97 year old grandfather’s and before that, his much older cousin’s father’s. It is a true antique, made sometime in the 1920’s.
