Liz Sivertson is an artist and illustrator known for her paintings of the North Woods, including the illustrations for the children's book North Country Spring, which is shown in the image.
Background: Sivertson has lived near Lake Superior for most of her life and has been painting seriously since the 1980s. She is from an artistic family; her father, Howard Sivertson, was a well-known painter and illustrator, and her sister owns the Sivertson Gallery.
