A handsome Victorian brass pull-cord bell, patented April 22, 1873, with a beautiful aged finish and mellow tone. Often used in the late 19th century as a fire alarm, boxing ring, or trolley bell, this example features a solid brass dome marked “5,” mounted to its original cast-iron bracket.
The surface retains a warm, naturally aged patina with traces of past polishing and expected oxidation from age. The bell unscrews from the bracket for cleaning or display, and the striker mechanism remains intact (offered as decorative only).
Perfect for industrial or steampunk décor, or as a distinctive architectural accent in a study, shop, or collection.
Dimensions:
Bell diameter: 5″
Bracket: 7.25″ L × 2″ W
