- The custom base is newer (not the age of the tray) and sturdy. There is wear to be expected from … moreThe custom base is newer (not the age of the tray) and sturdy. There is wear to be expected from use but no major flaws to note. The tray has lots of age-related wear, soft oxidation, craquelure, chips in lacquer in places. The inside of the tray is where you see the most wear (to be expected). It still displays beautifully and you can easily cover the flaws by placing coffee table books, etc., strategically. There are 2 wooden feet missing from the bottom of the tray. There should be 4 total and this is to keep the tray in place within the frame. Although 2 are missing, the tray remains stationary within the frame when placed. Please zoom in on all photos for examples of flaws.
