This is a massive vintage intaglio collograph triptych titled "Hanashi (Conversation)" by the artist Mikulas Kravjansky.
Mikulas Kravjansky was a Slovak-Israeli artist known for his mixed media prints, which often incorporate architectural and cultural imagery.
The piece is composed of three separate panels, a style known as a triptych.
The title "Hanashi" is a Japanese word that means "conversation".
The artwork is an intaglio etching with aquatint on layered paper, a technique that creates a textured, layered effect.
The original frame was a black lacquered finish. I custom gilded it with gold leaf and softened the gold slightly with an antique wash to add drama and depth to the black background which peeks through in some areas.
It's an incredible piece of art with bright beautiful colors, and black fabric background. The back has 2 hangers.
The piece is signed on the side/ dated 1985- 4/100.
If you have a huge wall and need something with drama and presence, this is a perfect piece.
