ANTIQUE REDWARE BOWL / DISH LATE 18TH / EARLY 19TH CENTURY
DIMENSIONS About 1 1/2" deep x 6 3/4" diameter.
DESCRIPTION Wonderful early redware bowl / dish in dark red glaze. Likely New England or mid-Atlantic origin. Outer surface shows some blackening from years of domestic and fireplace use.
CONDITION Overall very good. Single hairline, old and well oxidized. Rich, dark red glaze, with a thoroughly blackened exterior (all visible in the images). A RARE AND EARLY 18TH OR 19TH CENTURY GLAZED AMERICAN SHALLOW REDWARE BOWL.
